Gianni Giacomelli
Head of Design Innovation, MIT CCI Lab and Co- Founder Supermind Design
Gianni Giacomelli is a seasoned innovation leader and C-suite executive at Genpact (GE spinoff), a top-tier professional services and digital transformation company. He is also affiliated with prominent academic research institutions and serves as a management consultant and start-up executive. Gianni is currently involved in the implementation of sustainable innovation strategies, leveraging technology to facilitate real-world transformation. He focuses on complex global operations that require the implementation of technology-enabled solutions. These operations involve digital technology and data that are not ‘plug-and-play’ models and require a scarce talent pool.
As Chief Innovation Officer, he oversaw the innovation efforts at Genpact (NYSE ‘G’), which drives digital transformation in large, sophisticated enterprises. As innovation design head, he co-leads Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) efforts in the collective intelligence design lab aimed at exploring and designing people–machine networks generating radical innovation.
His previous career spans more than two decades across innovation strategy, marketing, and transformation, consulting with global and emerging leaders in professional services (Boston Consulting Group, Everest, Data monitor) and software (SAP). He started his professional journey in marketing analytics with the Danone Group. He is widely published in the press and is a frequent speaker at trade conferences. Gianni has also authored several scientific papers and is an active blogger on digital and workplace topics.
